Consistently Easy and Accurate

I've used Turbo Tax for the last 12 years and have been pleased and satisfied year after year. I've recommended it to family and friends whenever asked -- sometime when not asked. Good program and easy to use -- even if you're a tax neophyte.
What's great about it: Liked the Step by Step Question & Answer Format that leads you to the correct data entries.

Simple! Quick! More Money!

My father is a retired State Auditor and always completed and filed my taxes forb my siblings and me for a very minimal, very minimal fee. However, he suffered a stroke a year ago and was unable to complete our tax returns. Luckily, he was able to tell us about Turbo Tax since, we had not quite yet learned how to complete our own tax returns by hand like responsible, well-nurtured young adults. But he was able to walk us through how to use Turbo Tax, and it proved to be a breeze. Actually, Turbo Tax walked us through each step in order that we might receive our full and proper refund! It was quick, easy, and made us feel like real CPA's.

Just so simple...

It's great to just have your docs ready, and then just follow the guiding hand of Turbotax to import. I did my taxes for 28 years or so by hand, but now with kids in college, investment data, it's much easier to use a program. The return is 42 pages long for heaven's sake - all filled out neatly and good to go. Love it.
What's great about it: Ability to run myself or let it walk through step by step.
What's not so great: None

Easy Federal Return

I have used TurboTax for the last several years. I have experience with 1040EZ and 1040. Both are really easy to use. I highly recommend it.
What's great about it: Simple step by step process
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

After hearing about errors for Minnesota state calculations I had concerns if I should use the software, but the company worked out issues with the state in just a few days, suspect there was a number of IT hours spent correcting this - Nice Job. I work in IT and know that Nice Job(s) come few and far between, you guys earned it.
What's great about it: Easy, transfer of last year information
What's not so great: Minnesota state concern

Easy to use and a lot cheaper than paying someone. Transfers information from prior year easily . Makes filing State Tax a breeze. Checks for errors an performs an audit check for the possibility of being audited.
