same quality as alwasy

as always, the federal taxes were spot on. nice explanations for changes and direct links links to further tax details about the subject of question to the IRS webpages worked.
State explanations did not cover all the bases, had to exit the program and do a manual search of State webpages to find the details on certain subjects. The program got you to the main state tax website page , but did not go straight to the topic of interest I was working from the program like it does for the federal side?
What's great about it: Quick, fast, easy
What's not so great: not specific enough for some state taxes

This is quality software that provides the steps to complete your returns in an orderly fashion. The help function of sending out a question is lacking. One, you dont get an answer in a timely fashion, and more importantly you dont know if a tax professional is answering your question.
What's great about it: Like the step by step method
What's not so great: Not impressed with the help function

Oh So Easy

Never had an easier time doing my taxes than with this software. Felt like a pro was with me the whole time. Highly recommend it to anyone.
What's great about it: Held my hand and walked me through it!
What's not so great: NONE
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

TurboTax Meets my needs

I had a bit more difficult of a time filing taxes this year because of some special circumstances. While it was easy to see in TurboTax Deluxe where these could be accommodated, it was not clear if I qualified per the help tips. After some deeper investigation, I was able to successfully prepare my tax return and confidently file.
What's great about it: Quick to enter basic information
What's not so great: Some sections require more detail
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Deluxe Did a Good Job

I might have been better off using the Premier version of Turbo Tax. Transferring complex information from a K-1 didn't go smoothly and it wasn't always clear how to proceed. It was impossible to delete individual downloaded sales from a brokerage website. Otherwise things went as well as they have for years.
What's great about it: Loaded and ran smoothly. Easy to move through and to switch between Easy Step and Forms.
What's not so great: Had problems with investment data downloaded from ML website, and handling foreign taxes and income from a K-1.

How easy was that

I love this program easy to install even tweeked my older machine and corrected some functionality problems during installation. Tax return and computer repair. the only thing about this program that I did not like was saving to a pdf rather than being able to just go directly to my printer from within the program. But hey for the price and the functionallity You can't beat Turbo tax. I highly reccommend this program to al;l my friends.
What's great about it: Quick easy guided return
What's not so great: No direct print function

NY tax

Just relocated from NH (no state taxes) to NY. Found it very confusing that it brought in my NH wages for both me and my husband. He is still working in NY yet his wages were included. Doesnt seem right--couldnt find any help/advise for why that was occuring.
What's great about it: provided for free
What's not so great: confusing
