Gets Better Every Year

Cannot say enough good things about TurboTax. I have been using it for years and it seems to get easier and better each year. Makes doing taxes easy. Great support too. I had several problems this year and each time I was able to speak with a tax expert that helped me figure things out.
What's great about it: Very easy. Walks you through everything step by step.
What's not so great: Hard to find any

Not Impressive this year

I like the walk through feature, but would like you to add an additional window with checkboxes so that I could mark all forms I've gotten and the program would make sure that I enter all the data required based on the forms received.
What's great about it: walking the user through asking the question was good.
What's not so great: Error with state tax asking for additional funds when it was included in program
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Turbo Tax helps when it comes to Itemizing

I started using Turbo Tax in 2004 or 2005 and have used it every year since. I make numerous donations to Good will and the Salvation Army and It's Deductible helps me keep track of all of it and know how much each piece is actually worth versus going to one of these big tax places and the throw in a round figure. You usually lose money that way. I know I do. I'm glad I found Turbo Tax, even though we did have to pay last year.
What's great about it: I love the It's Deductible! Great help for the numerous donations I usually have!!
What's not so great: Website keeps your personal info & automatically signs you up to buy next year, if you buy local, could save $

The first 2 attempts gave me a refund >$9000 As i don't qualify for tax credits I knew this was wrong. I deleted my return and un-installed then re-installed Turbo Tax and it worked as I expected.
What's great about it: third time's the charm

Turbo Tax 2012 Does the Job

I have used Turbo Tax since it was first developed. My life has changed now that I am retired, so I use standardized deductions and very uncomplicated tax filing. Still Turbo Tax gives me peace of mind in knowing the math is correct and step by step reassures me in knowing I have covered the bases. I used Tax Cut for a year or two, but find that Turbo Tax is much more thorough and easy to use. Electronic filing is another big benefit. I also modify the current year return to my own "guesstimates" of what the next year will be, so that I can electronically file the next year's quarterly estimates . A great program and well worth the money. I don't even think about cut rate programs.
What's great about it: Fast and Efficent, Error Checkng Excellent, Excellent Panning Tool, Step by Step Thorough

Getting more complicated

I found a bug in your product and took about 4 hours to find a work around.
The entry of selling of stock takes to many screen for each sale. It takes a long time.
