I do believe everything was great.

Was a former Ins. Agent, part of my income was deferred, had a terrible time bypassing my pension amounts and not pay self employment tax on that amount.. The 2011 tax program was easier.
What's great about it: It asked all the questions.

soaring to new hieghts

overall a very user friendly program. could follow all instructions. instructions and options clear and if needed had information available. got me a good refund. I have used Turbo Tax for years and will continue to use Turbo Tax for years to come. I tried other programs and I still bought Turbo Tax and did my refunds through them.
What's great about it: user friendly
What's not so great: restart after save

I've been using TurboTax Deluxe for several years and will never use another product. It is very easy to use, very self-explanatory.

Useful product but needs a couple tweaks

I have been using turbo tax deluxe for the past few years. I used to pay an accountant, it was not only more expansive, I would also spend a lot of time gathering all the forms and reviewing the return at the end. In the end I decided that it was not saving me enough time to make it worth it. Turbo tax is both cheap and easy to use, I plan to use it again next year.
One downside is the lack of ways to report bugs and give feedback for less frequently used forms in particular. More specifically the lack explanations and definitions for the following forms: The AMT forms, all forms relating to foreign accounts and assets and NY state forms.
Also the software should remember registration info from one year to another, as well as bank deposit information. It is a bit annoying to have to retype those info one year to another.
What's great about it: Saves time and money
What's not so great: No way to report bugs or feedback on less frequently used forms

I really like the ease of using turbo. I do become frustrated with my state's bizarre tax format. Merge incomes...unmerged...try this....try that reasoning. It is easy to miss things. Overall, Turbo is a bargain.
What's great about it: Logical lay-out. A snap to follow
What's not so great: An index of how to have your papers in order is needed.

Great application

All was great with one exception. When entering 1099R data, it was all treated as withdrawals, when in fact several of mine were monthly pension payments. When first entered, a warning was given about the potential for fines although it did say this would be adjusted later. I believe there should be separate entry fields for pensions and another for withdrawals from IRAs.
What's great about it: very easy to use
What's not so great: takes too long to tell it to stop offering to download information from banks, etc.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
