OPPORTUNITY FOR IMPROVEMENT

We live in Washington State. There is no state income tax but only sales tax here. The software kept asking for us to go through the state tax options. I don't remember having this happen last year. I thought last year it recognized the state had no tax and told us to by pass that screen.
Just a suggestion that you may want to consider on your continuous improvement journey.
Thank you for the opportunity to give feedback. I hated knowing I had to pay taxes but I trusted your software. Thank you.
What's great about it: GENERALLY GOOD SOFTWARE
What's not so great: STATE TAX RECOGNITION
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

State Return Issues

Not as detailed on State Return...and trouble if you select donate can't seem to undue it. Not very good. But excellent on Federal Return.

Good tax program. They just need to do something about the print screen to make it excellent. Pain in the butt to have to go to the preview screen first and then edit out all of the worksheet pages before printing. Also need a don't ask me again button when You sign in without registering.

1st Great Time Experience

After many years of doing taxes the old fashioned way, I finally gave into to using Turbo Tax for the 1st time. What a Great experience....I wish that I would have given into going electronic filing years ago as I suspect that my return would have been greater. I'm sold...and willl be using Turbo Tax going forward on a yearly basis. HIGHLY recommend to thoe that have been doing their taxes "old school" style.
What's great about it: VERY user friendly to the point that it was idiot prooff

Used 2012 Deluxe Version-State MD

Incorrect calculation of 2 Income Married Couple Subtraction: I had to override the automatic calculation in order to get the $1200 subtraction in line 14 of the MD 502 form. It did not calculate my spouses share correctly. TurboTax gave my spouse no share of the Tax exempt interest, State Tax Refund, taxable-Interest, Dividend, or Capitol gains income.
What's great about it: Guides very good
What's not so great: Incorrect calculation of 2 Income Married Couple Subtraction

Lont time user satisfied

TurboTax has become almost too simple and it's hard to get into the fields sometimes to figure out where there might be a problem. However, the program seems to be the best of the options and I'll keep using it.
What's great about it: Complete and pretty easy to use
What's not so great: A little too automatic. It's almost difficult to get into the program and find where there is a problem
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
