Good tax software package

For example, when you ask me if I had a capital loss carryover from last year. Aren't you supposed to keep track of that since I used Turbo tax last year and I also imported the information from my tax file from last year? It is really confusing when questions like that pop up? It is like Turbo-tax looses its credibility with me and that is why you got 4 stars instead of 5
What's great about it: Easy to use and automated
What's not so great: some questions I was asked should have not been asked or should have the data populated automatically

Easy Peazy Tax Return

We have used Turbo Tax for years and will continue to do so in the future. Easy to use with very good instructions on how to use it.
What's great about it: Easy to use, accurate, good explanation of how to file

First Time Itemizing

This is the first time that I prepared taxes with my spouse and itemizing. It was a time consuming compared to preparing my sons taxes without itemizing. I believe the next year, hopefully will not be as bad.

Finished Returns

Easy to use for experienced filers. Can select topic (ie Retirement) and not have to go thru endless questions. Turbo has toned down the numerous 'buy this' questions from previous vers. Forms easy to inspect when switch from step-to-step.
Can not retrieve a return from a flash drive. Even though saved. Must use Open File from menu. Terrible only 'C' drive allowed.
Confusing screens when return to file STATE taxes after the FED has been accepted!!!!
Can not access help while just on the PC. Must have internet connect. It used to be stored on the PC. Only online help for detailed info.
What's great about it: switch from forms to step-by-step & select topic wo/ all ?s
What's not so great: Can not retrieve non 'C' dr return unless use open file. Always get new return screen can't find flash drive

Really easy to use which is great but I would like to get a print button for the Visa payment for e-filing to keep for my records for the following year.
What's not so great: can't print a receipt for e-filing fee

The illinois part of turbox says I can deduct more than I made.
I have to figure it by hand myself.
What's great about it: fed ok

Easy, easy, easy!!!

I had used TurboTax for the last 5 years or so. I had put off filing due to fear of the tax forms for a short sale of my residence. It was very easy and went quickly!! Will use TurboTax again for sure!
What's great about it: Made everything easy, especially due to short sale of house!
What's not so great: none
