More Fluff, Less Substance

I've been using TurboTax for close to 20 years and with each new year I find that detail is being sacrificed for superficial fluff. Talking head videos are useless. I would rather see more information on which worksheets flow into which fields on the tax forms and the guidelines behind the connections. This is especially applicable for doing income adjustment on the state taxes. This year I was especially surprised at the complete lack of guidance in calculating the percentage of dividend income that qualifies for state tax exemption. There should be better integration between the fed and state tax screens.
Bottom line, however, Turbo Tax still beats the pants off all of the competing products.

What's great about it: import of financial information, printing and filing of return

Glad it's done

Turbo Tax continues to improve and 2012 is no exception. While not perfect I feel confident using the product and will continue to do so. I still get nervous downloading from my investment house and the instructions concerning the method to use left me guessing but I guessed right. Overall I am very satisfied.
What's great about it: Simplicity, Thorough, Speed, Layout, Cost
What's not so great: Marketing of product, program can still be made simpler

I've been using TurboTax for years. eFiling is/was a hassle. why can't TurboTax save the Pin's/AGI whatever it used to get acceptance earlier.
What's great about it: easy step by step directions
What's not so great: efile and getting pins was a hassle

Excellent in every way

I used to do our taxes yearly and struggled with new laws and new forms and wording that was not understandable. Finally, my husband convinced me to try TurboTax. The first year, I used TurboTax and I did it myself just to compare. I couldn't believe how much easier TurboTax was to use. I have been a believer and a supporter from then on. Thank you for helping us get this chore done every year and not have to spend lots of money on tax accountants. It is great for the peace of mind that I have that my taxes will be done correctly.
What's great about it: Helped me with extra deductions
What's not so great: Can't think of any
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I LOVE TurboTax! This is my 9th year using TurboTax because TurboTax makes it so easy. I feel properly supported by TurboTax's amazing support features - I have never had a question I could not find an answer to through the help section. I not only save money by using TurboTax over a CPA, I save time because instead of pulling documents together for an accountant, I just enter them into TurboTax. Trust me...if I can use TurboTax successfully, anyone can!
What's great about it: EASY to use!!!!!!!
What's not so great: Transferred a K-1 from 2011 without asking if it was necessary

best for IRS

I tried another program a few years ago that was a big name tax preparer, and will never do that again. TorboTax is My best bet for My tax return needs.

Great Instructions

I found TurboTax to be extremely easy to use.
The step-by-step instructions are simple and straightforward. I know essentially nothing about how to file taxes, but I was able to complete my returns with no trouble in a very short time.

The ability to import my W-2 was also a great convenience.

Pretty Good

When I was ready to file the updates would not fully update. I shutdown several times and had to wait a day until the online updates would fully go through. Overall good experience and I will use program again.
What's great about it: Easy to use, answers questions easily.
