improvements needed

> when I select "I'll enter it myself" should mean exactly that. Beacuse I was not (and could not) connect to the internet at the time, I could not enter my W-2 info.

Slick and Simple

Wow, really helps with figuring out contribution limits with traditional IRAs and Roth IRAs. Help that's not always easily attainable from so called "financial experts".
What's great about it: guide the user thru all steps, real EZ, with helpful hints along the way!
What's not so great: printing just a few special forms little complicated, tends to want to print all forms.

excellent news

I thought that turbo tax made a mistake in their program. I was wrong, their update reminder I missed and therefore it caused me to think I had to print off my returns and then send them in by hand. This turned around completely after the turbo tax updated. Now everything is great and it sent electronically just as it always has. I think the update problem was my fault.
What's great about it: Turbo tax cut through the tax rules and regulations to help me know which forms to file.
What's not so great: I didn't catch when it said to update my 2012 turbo tax= my fault

IS IT ME BECAUSE I AM A RETURN CUSTOMER, .....OR IS TURBO TAX GETTING MORE INTUITIVE TO USE.
I THINK IT IS.
What's great about it: EASIER ALL THE TIME TO USE
What's not so great: I AM USE TO FREE STATE FILING,... OR MAYBE NOT

all these years of using turbotax and you can't always page up and page down to get to the bottom of the page where the continue button is located. must always use the right margin to scroll down with the mouse.
also should be able to bounce back and forth between step by step and forms without having to lose you place in step by step or keeping the forms already requested open.

e File locked up

When I selected the efile option, the machine locked up. I tried it several times, at different durations & times of day, and finally relented to the print option. I'm disappointed this year.
Last year it worked like a charm. The year before I also couldn't efile because of my spouse's name (supposedly). You told me one way to solve the problem & the IRS told me another - neither option worked.
And this year - nothing changed & efile failed again!
What's great about it: easy to enter/modify data
What's not so great: efile didn't work
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Great Experience

Overall the process of filing my tax returns with TurboTax is very simple and this time with the unavailable forms my confusion was cleared up with the assistance of a tech service person. Overall a very good experience especially considering it's "Income Tax Filing Time."
What's great about it: Very east to use.
What's not so great: Only snag I had was when my forms to complete were not available and continuing from that point was confusing.

Could nof find a way to print out estimated tax forms for 2013. no problem last year.
What's not so great: Info for Fed Form 1116 if foreign less than $300 (even from trust) not required, so why require it!
