LOVE DOING TAX RETURN WITH TURBOTAX

I HAVE USED TURBOTAX FOR OVER 20 YEARS. IT IS PERFECT.
What's great about it: ALL I HAVE TO DO IS FILL IN QUESTIONS.
What's not so great: DIFFICULTY IN GETTING TO FORMS

I have been using Turbo Tax for the last few years because it is quick, easy to follow and checks for mistakes.
What's great about it: Everything is so easy!

Steady performer

I have used TTax for many years and it has been very reliable in getting me through the up years and down years. I would highly recommend it. Make sure that you keep your records organized and available; it really helps to cut down on the time needed to complete the "taxing" task.
What's great about it: Asks the right questions; lots of help (Intuit & community forum)
What's not so great: Too quickly wants you to upgrade for answers

Review the Forms

The step by step interview does a reasonable job with most aspects, but one should review all forms to make sure something is not overlooked - e.g., pensions, self-employment, and education expenses. TurboTax handled everything correctly, but some details were not covered during the step by step interview and had to be manually added to the proper form.
What's great about it: Step by step is reasonably straight forward
What's not so great: Review the forms to catch items not covered properly in step by step

Issues the whole way

I have used this software before and never had issues with the updater like this. I was not able to get my software updates unless I went to the online and searched high and low until I found them. This doubled the time it took to do my taxes. There was no real help online for this issue although I saw many posts with the same issue. I may switch to a different program for next year

I've use TurboTax for several years now it beats any other way of doing taxes. The ability to pull up information from previous years and give me reminders is very helpful.
What's great about it: guidelines are very helpful.
What's not so great: where to put some dividends and retirement monies can be confusing.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Better than the others!

I used Turbo Tax 2 years ago and last year I cheaped out and bought a less expensive program. What a mistake! Turbo Tax is much easier to use, much more thorough and methodical in its approach which gives me a better sense of security that everything is being done right. I am not a numbers whiz so I am thrilled with the way Turbo Tax makes this process so painless for me. I highly recommend this program to others and have figured out the hard way that it is worth a few extra dollars to have everything done right.
What's great about it: Thorough

2012 Tax Return Program

I love using TurboTax to complete my returns. It is easy to understand, follow and decipher. I would like it even better if it could figure out how I could join the 47%ers.
What's great about it: Ease of Use - Detailed Descriptions and Questions
What's not so great: None
