great tool

all of the systems of tubor tax very helpful would not use anything but turbor tax. I HAVE USED TURBO TAX NOW FOR ABOUT 8 YEARS NOW.

This requires only a very minimal computer skill level. It easily allows for corrections of errors or just changing ones mind. I have found it wise to always wait a few days after finishing and then review the entire program, just to be sure.
What's great about it: This is a clear and intuitive system.
What's not so great: All the add-ons for other services.

Way to Go!

I did my own taxes before I used Turbotax. What a blessing to be able to use this package and save money as well. I feel that I am more accurate in completing my taxes now. I love e-filing and saving paperwork and postage.
What's great about it: I have used Turbotax for almost 10 years. It's a thorough way to go.
What's not so great: Some friends have trouble completing everything requested.

Exceptional Software Product

As a TurboTax user for a number of years, with returns varying from simple to more complex, I don't understand why anyone with half a brain would hire an accountant!
TurboTax is one of the best software products I have used. Have never run into 'bugs', software errors, etc.
What's great about it: Extremely easy to use
What's not so great: None

I funded a self-employed 401K. In working through the wooksheets I couldn't find it. I ended up having to go to the "search" function to find it. Once found, there was no "discussion" about what was considered an employer contribution and my own. TT might consider expanding the visability and explainations regarding SEP 401Ks
What's great about it: Downloading my brokerage statements
What's not so great: Need to cover self empolyed retirement accounts better

Taxes 2012 "turboed" to IRS

There is complete ease in finding information from the "Learn More" links. Several times we used them to confirm our choices. It is possible to look at the actual forms at any point. We did so to compare to last year's tax forms. The only thing we couldn't change was the spouse's phone number which we noticed was wrong at the end of the process. We looked at the actual form, and couldn't change it there. We went back to Personal Information at the beginning of the process, and couldn't find it.
What's great about it: Easy step-by-step process
What's not so great: Could not figure out how to change the spouse phone contact number
