With every year, filing becomes easier with this product. It is a slow and easy introduction as my tax situation grows more complicated each year.
What's great about it: Convenient, intuitive, easy to use
What's not so great: Extra fee for state filing
Pros: I bought or sold investments

The Total Program Cost Is Expensive and Is Nothing Better Than A Spreadsheet, if You understand tax laws, If Not, Then It's Handy, Timothy Geithner Couldn't Understand to complete His Taxes. WHY?

Turbotax gets better every year! Thanks for simplifying complicated tax issues with your step-by-step method and easy to access IRS publications for reference. I truly appreciate the free e-Filing. Keep your prices down and I will never consider switching to any other tax software.
What's great about it: The Step-by-Step method for handling complicated tax issues, Free e-Filing!
What's not so great: Can't print certain screen info. Slightly higher price than previous year.

Using TurboTax

Someone told me about not having to pay tax on Social Security in certain instances, which we have to again this year.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Not sure that it takes into consideration advantages that are available.

TT is slipping

I have used Turbo Tax several years and liked it, but this year I was very disappointed in the navigation. Every time I paused and later resumed it would start off at the wrong place. It wasted my time by reseting where I was whenever I tried to resume. Also, I do not like paying extra to e-file my state return and I do not understand why TT does not allow one state e-fling at no extra charge. Not only do I not like that, but this year it was harder than usual to skip the state e-filing and print the state forms. I hope next year's TT will be better.

Good until the end, then a pain

I liked the interview format to lead me through entering data and calculating my taxes.
However, at the end, it repeatedly pestered me to E-file.
I do not want to E-file, for very strong personal reasons, and being asked more than once is not acceptable to me. You just seem to want to pester until I give in, and I won't.
Then when I want to print my returns for filing and review, why must you convert it to a PDF format, which takes longer to print. If next year's version has the same problems, I will choose a competitor.
So, it is good at the start, and a pain at the end.
