Made the process tolerable

The software is very intuitive about what is needed and makes the taxing process of taxes tolerable, if not likeable.
What's great about it: Easy access to answers and info
What's not so great: Not much to not like
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy except Education section

I entered Scholarship and counted towards room& board, etc. because these are not qualified deductions, they ADDED to income. it was hard to figure out how to go back and correct this - - had to delete the education section and start over in order to access/update the 1098-T info.
Suggest having an option to directly update that piece.

got ready to e file returns and turbo tax said no can do as it needed NYS updates. I already updated it 3 times. my computer locked up and had to do hard reset. Made 3 attempts to file before it finally went through. pain in the butt.
What's great about it: usually works okay
What's not so great: updates 3 times in a week locked my computer up

Good and just OK...

I love the fact that Turbo transfers all the information from the old tax return to the new one. That was a great help and made things a lot faster. I was a little confused as I would like to have the option of E-filing my state tax but was never given the opportunity to do that. All in all, a pretty good experience.
What's great about it: Quickness

Using TurboTax for years!

I've been using TT for years and have found it to be the easiest program. I like how it just walks me through everything.
What's great about it: Very easy to use and if you have a question, looking at the community postings really help.

A necessary evil

I have been using Turbo Tax for a number of years. I certainly prefer it to my former brute force method of reviewing Instructions & Schedules. I particularly like that it saves old information for comparison & recall purposes.
While running the Error Check, I was prompted to Check for Updates. After doing so, the software shutdown and I had to restart. Seems like a bug to me.
What's great about it: Relatively easy to use
What's not so great: A few bugs in the software
