The program imports last years information so that you don't have to refill everything from scratch. It also imports financial information from the large investment companies.
What's great about it: Easy to use Great program
What's not so great: None yet for me. Not all investment company information is associated with TurboTax.

Great Tax Program

I have used Turbo Tax since 1996 and have not had any issues with it. It is easy to use and very thorough. While I have an extensive accounting background, this program is so simple to use that a 3rd grader could do my taxes. Keep up the good work!!
I had to file 2 state returns this year and the Arizona one did not import my personal data from the Federal return. This caused me to be stuck since when I entered the data on the AZ worksheet, a subsequent review told me to delete this data. After I went through and deleted the personal data, another review told me to input the stuff I had just deleted. I ended up going back to the beginning of my return and just clicked through the entries and that allowed me to file my returns.
What's great about it: Ease of Use
What's not so great: Stumbled on 2nd State return

Only once in all the years I have used Turbo Tax, that I have
found the exclusion for Federal pension (C19). Now I have
to use use "other subtraction" which lands on C29, and draw
a line from C29 to C19. Also in other years, after once I get
all the paperwork, estimates, etc, then I print another copy, and I get all that printed paper work again. What a waste of
paper and a waste of INK.

The easiest way I have ever done my taxes!!

I would strongly recommend Turbo Tax for anyone with basic income and simple expenses. A few hours and you're done!
What's great about it: Extremely user friendly and easy to follow and understand!

Simple senior

I use TurboTax to do above calc. I don;t have enough deductions to bother so I skip over those in favor of standard deductions which seem to appear at the end, hopefully correctly.
What's great about it: Tracks portion of SS that is taxable
What's not so great: Hard to find the terrible calculation that determines taxable SS

The Only Way to File

I've used Turbo Tax for the past 6 or 7 years, and I have yet to be disappointed. I've recommended it to my kids and friends as well.
What's great about it: Incredibly simple to use, and very thorough in the steps provided. Also, reasonably priced.
What's not so great: Can't think of any.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Easy and effective

This is a great program - especially for people with straight forward returns who don't want to mess around for a long time with tax filing. My only complaint is that I had to update the program twice before it would let me file my returns. Considering I completed my entire return in about two hours it seems a little ridiculous.
What's great about it: quick and straight forward
What's not so great: had to update twice
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

TurboTax - awesome

I never thought that filing income tax could be enjoyable. The error check and possible audit review ranking are really helpful. Importing "It's Deductible" into Turbo Tax is a great time-saving feature. The program cost is inexpensive at double the cost!
What's great about it: Easy step-by-step directions; "I'ts Deductible" is a great feature.
