First year Turbo Tax didn't work for me!

I have used Turbo Tax for about 5 years now without any problems until this year. I entered all the information in every category and everything seemed to be going great. But when I was at the end and clicked on "TRANSMIT RETURNS NOW" , Turbo Tax wrote "YOUR TRANSACTION DIDN'T GO THROUGH." It continued with "Validation Failed, There is an update for your program, before you can E-File you'll need to get this update." After searching around for awhile I finally get the answer which is according to Turbo-Tax..."You already have all updates automatically updating." There seems to be nothing I can do to actually E-File which is one of the main reasons I use Turbo-Tax. If I can't E-File I have no reason to use Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Turbo tax cut through the tax rules and regulations to help me know which forms to file.
What's not so great: When I was completely finished and clicked on "TRANSMIT RETURNS NOW" ... Turbo Tax would not submit the return!

As easy as it gets

Turbo Tax is easy, intuitive and inexpensive. My only beef is that it is occasionally hard to get answers as to why certain things happen in the program. Example: even if my sales tax deduction increases by $1000, there is no bottom line difference in tax due...strange...
What's great about it: As always, easy.
What's not so great: Could use better explanations...

I have been using the tax program for years. This year, for the 2012 tax prep, I found the product even more friendly to use than in the past. The program keeps improving yearly. I enjoy the feature which returns you to your summary once you make an entry. There are reassurances as you go along which made me feel secure in what I was doing. I liked the notice, "We are almost done in his area." Nice feeling.
I would recommend the program for ease of operation and accuracy.
Great product and worth every cent.

Been using Turbo Tax for Years. Very easy to use. Thorough questions if you don't know what to do; but if you do know what you want, you can go there directly as well. Very easy to use. My Mom now does her own taxes using Turbo Tax too!
Very reasonably priced.
What's great about it: easy to use; choose between their wizard or know where you want to go
What's not so great: sometimes repeative
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I highly value the ease of use of Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate and access to forms from prior year returns completed through Turbo Tax.
What's not so great: Updates to some help files needed to provide better guidance using clearer examples.

Taxes done in an afternoon

I managed to go start to finish on this process in 2-3 hours. It helped this year I learned from my mistakes and had a folder ready where I captured documents as they came in. Most of the process went as expected, with only a couple times where I had to use the help or more information which was readily available.
What's great about it: Most of it was pretty straight forward
What's not so great: My mortgage interest statement documentation didn't match very well
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have used turbotax for 9 straight years... and will do it again for 2013.
What's great about it: Always easy with the help of the software...very user friendly.
What's not so great: sometimes wants to get too detailed...but is it really a con...?
