Tax filing can be fun

It would speed the process if, after each income category and deduction category, the program would reset to the bottom of the summary page instead of forcing a scroll all the way to the bottom of the page each time. Other than that idea, this program is great.
What's great about it: I found this year's TTax very intuitive and easy to use. I did have fun doing my taxes

Fed Great, State Could Be Better

The Federal stuff was great -- easy to understand, great hand-holding throughout, easy to click and get additional information, good explanations, etc.
The Iowa state stuff, on the other hand, was only "Okay." Hyperlinks would be nice; even better, click-and-explain and other ways to let me know what was going on...ESPECIALLY WHEN I HAD TO MAKE A DECISION! It has improved over the years but could be even better; please put more work into it. Thanks.

Great experience

turbotax was easy. If I had major stock transactions I'd probably use a tax advisor, but for simple situations, turbo tax is DEFINITELY THE CHOICE! I've been using it for years. I especially like the auto-import features. A great experience as usual & takes the stress out of tax time.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: sometimes too simple
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Makes doing yor own taxes so simple and yet affordable. Just wish that when you are reviewing taxes to print you could make changes or click on (take to form) link.

Found the Pa state form confusing in adjusting the Dividends for state adjustments. Finally filed a manual return.
What's great about it: Like the Turbo Tax for Federal Return
What's not so great: Did not like the Turbo Tax State portion

Simple data entry

I have used TurboTax for many years. The carry forward of data from prior years really expedites the process. Importing data from my broker was quick and saved a bunch of time and avoided overlooking reportable transactions, dividends, interest, etc.
What's great about it: Convenient carry over from prior returns
Pros: I bought or sold investments
