Easy to use

I have used TurboTax for many years, but this is probably the earliest I have filed (travel plans required it). I was surprised that I wasn't walked through the previous years interest income, like I was with dividends and deductions.
What's great about it: Able to go back and update previous screens
What's not so great: Couldn't reconcile Federal and State signatures

Been using turbo tax for at least 15 years. The year to year transfer of data is helpful. Also like the format. Starting to get my daughter interested in how easy and user friendly turbo tax is to use so that she can do her taxes on her own.
What's great about it: The step by step reminds me to look for deductions I would otherwise miss.
What's not so great: Difficult to find where you enter the acct and routing numbers in the state of Michigan tax return

one problem

Everything went great until I hit "file" and it stated I needed an update. Could not figure out how to do this and was not directed to the place to do this, so I had to file by mail, which was disappointing after getting so close.
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments

Doing Taxes on My Own

I have used many of the tax preparation software programs in the past; owever, I feel that this software is by far the easiest to use for someone that does not have an accounting background. As a student and a football jock i was able to do my taxes and understand what I was doing. It was like having my Dad (who is an accountant) walk me through the entire return. I would have been stressed out if I did not have either my Dad doing my taxes or have a copy of Turbo Tax. I did not make much as a student during my summer off; nor did . I get back much either; however, I believe that I got back the most that the IRS and Turbo Tax would allow me legally!

Happy till the after market

I love the Turbo Tax products. This is my 10th year with them. The deluxe program was very user friendly, liked the visuals and shots of people through out the process. Liked that there are not too many requests to donate.
Cons - would be helpful to have a cheat sheet that we can print off now with a list of the receipts, deductions, programs that we should be collecting throughout the year to help us get full deductions and benefits! Secondly, would be helpful to have a list of documents, information we can review/print at the beginning to make the process easier.
A complaint, i went to sign-up for the TurboTax Advantage program and the direct price was more expensive than what i paid from a box store. Wasted my time - didn't sign-up!
Overall, i'm a happy customer and look forward to more improvements next year!
What's great about it: The Deluxe package was easy to use and follow - love it
What's not so great: needs more proactive hints / samples to use through out the year to make the turbo process even more beneficial

SO SPECTACULAR!

I've been using TT for YEARS and I absolutely love it. It gets better each year and is always so easy and user friendly. There is so much information - at your fingertips and it is explained in an easy, understandable manner. It is extremely thorough. I love the import features, it makes it that much easier and quicker to get through your return. E-filing is the way to go, and Turbo Tax does it all with a few clicks of a button! THANK YOU TURBO TAX!!!
What's great about it: fast, easy to understand, quick, specific, helpful

Took me 4 hours, still haven't been able to file!

Did not ask/gather all info, yet let us e-file our returns. Next day received email all of our returns were rejected.
Not friendly for filing jointly with spouse when residents of two different states due to military. Did not let us choose who was a resident of which state and instead listed primary as resident of both. Secondary spouse then had to file separately for state resulting in smaller refund.
What's great about it: Great customer service
What's not so great: Confusing

Fast and Easy!

Turbo Tax is a fast, easy and accurate way to complete your taxes. I had all my paperwork ready, and I was done in a couple of hours! I recommend this to anyone, and I will continue to use it.
What's great about it: Easy Guide is great
What's not so great: Want more exemptions!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
