Entered info myself, but better than CPA firm.
What's great about it: Mostly easy
What's not so great: Did not import some of last year's tax information
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I was really unhappy when after e-filing I wasn't able to print the final page telling me when I filed. I don't like having to wait for an email on something this important - especially being 71 and not having filed with e-file before
What's great about it: it was quicker than earlier versions
What's not so great: I miss having to go thru all the deductions and feel as if I may have missed something

Better than last year, but still needs some work

1. You guarantee that I will be able to get all of deductions to which I am entitled. However you missed the deduction for 'other taxes', even thought other information already entered indicated that I should be checking that item.
Fortunately, in a conversation with another user, I discovered that I was entitled to use that item and the result was a reduction of $300 plus in my tax due.
2. Opening scene indicates that I will be returned to the point where I last entered info. Did not happen. I usually wound up at the opening entries.
3. Positive experience with forms download and printing. Far superior to previous years.
What's great about it: prior year download saves work and was helpful
What's not so great: Download from Quicken still cumbersome

Turbo Tax is generally easy to use and takes the frustration out of most tax prep. Love that it automatically does state tax based on federal tax inputs. The California state tax forms were created by sadists.
What's great about it: generally easy to follow
What's not so great: foreign tax entries can be confusing, charity - where you need to add items donated is not intuitive
