easy reader

As in the past years the turbo tax experience was very easy and comforting with the way tax laws were presented, I was very satisfied with the program presentation and information. This gave me a feeling that every thing put on paper for all requiements of the government were completed accuretley.
What's great about it: explained in simple terms

Not a good year

Make certain your people writing code are more careful in the future.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: I live in Minnesota so it was pretty rocky for awhile.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Much Easier & Less Expensive

I loved using Turbo Tax again this year! I used it for several year but didn't use it last year because of problems the previous year. It was so much easier this year! I'm sad that we still have to pay to e-file our state return. Its not fun owing the state and needing to pay to e-file it too. We'll probably just send it out by snail mail and save the $20.
What's great about it: Much easier than 2010's tax return
What's not so great: Still have to pay to e-file state. :(

Turbo Tax saves me time and money!

I have used Turbo Tax for years. It is easier every year. Keeps track of previous information, no reentering, just insert new amounts. What a time saver. No driving to an office to have taxes done - great timesaver.
The fact that TurboTax keeps auditing for any mistakes or omissions gives you peace of mind.

Simple, fast, easy

I have been using Turbo Tax for years and makes doing my taxes almost fun. My history carries over from year to year so there is a pattern to follow.
What's great about it: Has my history so nothing is missed!

Overall a good program for those who want to do their returns but aren't knowledgeable of all aspects of this process.
What's great about it: Step by step process very helpful
What's not so great: Had to call help desk, program would not go into state return mode, even though I purchased deluxe program.

Finally Done!

Not always clear about what is needed but can usually figure it out. It is very cumbersome to handle the summary screens the way they are designed. In spite of my complaints, I have great confidence in the accuracy of he final results. Keep trying to make the product more user-friendly.
What's great about it: Complete with tax details
What's not so great: Too complicated. Far more detail than needed.

I had a problem when it came to e-filing. I missed filling 2011 taxes. This created a problem with my adjusted gross income when I tried to e-file. (I did not Know this just yet.) The instructions provided by TurboTax did not cover this problem! In fact the page I was instructed to go to could not be reached after the first attempt at e-filing! (TurboTax instructions said that you could bypass your pin numbers and still file.) I called the IRS with the phone number provided by TurboTax and was given the solution to the problem. It was simple. No tax return for the previous year would require a (0) for the adjusted gross income!
I put (0) in the proper place just before e-filing (my pin numbers were fine according to the IRS) and my return went through!

What's great about it: Program was for the the most part easy to use.
What's not so great: Some bad steps. I did not feel as comfortable at times using ths years programs.
