Does what needs to get done

This tool is useful to complete all the necessary tax forms.
Would like to see an import function using csv format to fill in lists such as state internet purchases and stock sale information. I have these list in xls. Would like to export it from xls and import it to turbo tax. Cut and paste didn't even work from xls.
What's great about it: Useful tool to to complete tax forms. Would buy it again.

Better each year

This year's version seems faster and easier to use than last year's. It highlighted missed areas based on the previous year's return which is nice. I would like to see the NEXT button at the top of the screen so that we don't have to scroll down to the bottom after every section.
The price to efile the state return is going up too fast and is too high for a single state return.

I choose what I want to amend. Get told it's accepted by the IRS and then it exits me from the program.

Turbo Tax since 2004

I like Turbo Tax. It imports my info from last year and walks me through the process. Painless for Federal, works great. Unfortunately not so good on Oregon taxes. Oregon instructions very clearly state you must use the actual tax liability, not the 'asif'' liability on the Oregon return. Turbo tax does not, and provides no means for me to change it. So I let it calculate, but then take my figures to a state of Oregon site and enter them correctly. Bah Humbug. Turbo tax would also allow me to file separately from my partner and itemize when she does not. That is also not allowed, very clearly on the State site. (I did all these returns with Turbo Tax, trying to figure out whether we should file Oregon jointly.)
What's great about it: Great Job on Federal
What's not so great: Problems with Oregon Registered Domestic Partner return

Been using Turbo Tax for 15 years. Always fast and easy.Tried one of the other cheaper brands. Didn't like it at all, too hard and complicated.
