Great Program

I have used Turbo Tax software for many years now and find it the best and easiest product to use for preparing my tax returns. I also like the fact that e-filing is free for the federal return
What's great about it: Takes the tediousness out of preparing my taxes
What's not so great: I wish State e-file was also included free.

Everything is resolved by the end of the program, so there really aren't any issues. It's just a little worrying at the beginning!
What's great about it: Easy to understand and took you through it step by step
What's not so great: A couple places where looking at your federal return would help answer a state return issue

I've been using TurboTax since it first appeared on store shelves in the mid 80s. Each year it gets better and easier for me to do my taxes. Manual scribbling, calculators, and long hours are a thing of the past for me. I do my taxes earlier (because it is less hassle), I e-file, and my refunds are directly deposited into my checking account. Can't ask for a better tax experience.
What's great about it: Makes taxes simple

The Best--but needs help!

I've used Turbo Taxes for years now and although I think it is the best tax software out there, I have seen the Community or other assistance features (Q&A) dwindle considerably. Maybe too many questions, and not enough answers? When I begin to find the IRS tax guides easier to use to find my answers, I begin to wonder why I don't resort to the 'free' written documents I used many years ago!

What's great about it: Walk through steps are excellent. Additional charge for state, too much.
What's not so great: Each year, it seems the assistance features (Q&A) becomes more and more limited.

What's not so great: Difficult to get to the worksheets for specific entries and import from older returns esp. tax history
