I was unable to get copies for Minnesota Tax estimates for next year.
What's great about it: Good detail
What's not so great: More support on K-1 information

Took my Money for State Return But No e-File

Good experience until TT charged my credit card for state efile but then could not efile at transmit stage. They still charged my card though!
What's great about it: Fed went OK
What's not so great: Charged me for State but did not e-file it.

When I first started working app. 36 years ago my father prepared my taxes (He worked as an accountant). After a number of years I began doing them on my own (With my Dad checking behind me). I like numbers, so I really enjoyed doing them. I first used Turbo Tax in 2005 and I wouldn't do my taxes any other way now. It is very easy and quick. Fun actually.

Turbo Tax 2012 shortcomings

Overall experience with Turbo Tax is very good, however, I have foreign pension income and not having a Payor's ID Number prevents me (or Turbox Tax) for submitting my returns electronically. This was the same situation for 2011 taxes, but not for 2010.
What's great about it: Ease of Use
What's not so great: Support - time required to get same

Terrific Tax Tutorial

This disk is step by step how to file taxes. If there is any questions about if you qualify, there are "most common questions" forums, a link to talk with a real person, or a link to research on the IRS website. I believe that if you can read, you can use turbo tax and the efiling makes it so easy that any schedule can get their taxes done.

I enjoy using Turbo Tax to file my own taxes. It imports all of my tax documents and is informative about tax rules and regulations. I will use Turbo Tax every year that I have to file a tax return.
