Basically a very good program but there should be a phone number where you will be able to talk to a person. This is my major problem.
What's great about it: this program is very clear cut and easy to use. It asks all the right questions.
What's not so great: I always buy the CD version of TurboTax and when I have a specific question I'm not able to talk to a human being.

Superior tax software!!

No problem with federal tax, only state tax.

It seems that TurboTax only allows for e-filing the state tax return, which cost extra money. You do not show the option for mailing the state return, like on previous years, why?
What's great about it: Both were easy to complete.
What's not so great: Wording at the completion of the state return seem to allow for e-filing.

I try to do my parent's return. They are retired on an annuity and on social security. I find you program IS NOT geared for this type of return. I cannot figure out where to enter the data from the 1099s.
When using the Easy Guide, the questions should only have to be answered once; not each time you go through a return using the guide.
Would be helpful of the last 3 years were made available to compare a current return to instead of just the last year.
What's not so great: The easy guide asks the same questions over and over again each time you go through a return.

Turbo Tax Terrific

We've used Turbo Tax for years. I love that it pulls forward from last year so you have a comparison to look at. Also enjoy that you can easily transition from one place to another with ease.
Turbo Tax makes it easy to file your taxes with confidence and be sure you didn't miss anything!
What's great about it: Walks me right through my taxes with easy step by step
What's not so great: None really

I have used Turbo Tax for many years. I think it works great and is very easy to use, especially for someone with little accounting experience.
What's great about it: step by step walk thru, simple pop-up window to clarify any confusions
