Old Dog/New Tricks

As a senior citizen I was concerned that doing taxes on the computer would be very complicatted. This was not the case. The program leads you through the return in a clear, logical way, asking all the right questions. TurboTax does all the calculations for you, and being able to access the return as often as you wish is a plus.
What's great about it: No need to do any calclulations.

Fast, EASY and just what I need

I have 1 job with very basic needs when it comes to my taxes and I am nothing but pleased with Turbo Tax. It is easy, quick and thorough. The only thing I would not recommend is that option to have them go through a 3rd party bank to pay for filing State. Just use your own credit card and file yourself. :)
What's great about it: It is simple and explains everything each step of the way.

Easier as the years go bye

The software is obviously much easier than trying to do my return by hand which I did for thirty plus years. Using the same brand each year allows my family information to be imported and I don't have to deal with mis-typing SSN or remembering if the child still gets the under 17 credit. The information gathering is straight forward and I love being able to transfer information based on the IRS year end form and not have to translate to the 1040 form. Since Turbo Tax has been around for years, an improvement would be as we are "next-ing" to have a small information line telling us what is on the next page. As someone with complicated information, it would be nice to know what is coming.
What's great about it: The software is detailed and comprehensive. With a medium difficult return, the software is eaier to use each year
What's not so great: I can still get lost not knowing what the "next" button will bring

Best Financial Software App EVER!

I have been using TurboTax for as long as I can remember; easily the most intuitive financial application around!
It is nice to have one less thing to worry about each April as I know TurboTax will walk me through each and every possible nuance of the Tax Forms!

Saved me so much time!

I really appreciate the time Turbo Tax saves me by pulling info from my last year's return. In addition, it gives me extra peace of mind that I am doing things correctly when it compares my income and deductions from the previous year and I see the numbers are similar.
I have more confidence in doing my taxes through Turbo Tax than doing them by myself.
What's great about it: I have used Turbo Tax for 3-4 years now, and the automatic pulling of last year's info is such a time saver.
What's not so great: There is still the occasional item where you get stuck with phrasing and it is not clear what to do (general tax code).

Need to be more specific about erros

The software should go directly to where the purported error is instead of having me look for the error.

Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Quick, maximized refund

If you have a somewhat simple refund to file (W-2, some 1099's, some 1098's, etc.), turbo tax will be for you. You can choose to navigate the return on your own and pick the sections that are pertinent to your return. Turbo tax will make suggestions if it thinks you may have overlooked a possible credit or deduction.Try it out. I've been using turbo tax ever since 2003 and have never needed another product.
What's great about it: It's quick, I finished the return in under 2 hours. It makes suggestions on possible overlooked credits/deductions.
