for the cttaxes it would not import taxes i paid on a vehicle, had to do this manually

Overall, this years computer time was less then four hours. My prep was less than it should have been, but with the much improved navigational enhancements I found that hunting for information and returning to Turbo Tax was seamless. I never had to remember where to resume. Thanks for an effortless and fast return. Hal
What's great about it: Excellent navigation
What's not so great: A preparation list available by catigory as you proceed
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Tax 2012 Experience

My ???? year of using Turbo Tax. Wouldn't come back if it didn't work as advertised. Very happy with the product. One issue that was frustrating. After autoupdating the forms I expected Turbo Tax to automatically restart -- it didn't. This should be an automatic feature after downloading the file changes.
What's great about it: Easy to use.
What's not so great: Software/forms update

I've been using Turbotax for many years. This is the first year that the quality decreased. Questions and assumptions that did not make sense. Restating at the wrong point. Last years info not used. Very dissapointed.

1099-MISC Reporting

Had to call accountant to find out how to put in my wages that I had a 1099-MISC for. I didn't like choosing in the wages section "I'll look at it on my own" because I felt like I was going into noman's land. Well, thanks to our accountant's terminology help, I got to where I wanted to go.
Making self-employment reporting easier would be helpful to us who only work in the summer months.
What's great about it: Very self-explanatory. Easy to understand
What's not so great: Hard to find how to report 1099-MISC

I would recommend turbo tax to anyone who is tired of paying tax preparers to provide them with inadequate service. Turbo Tax is great.

disappointed after 20 years

After using Turbo Tax for over 20 years this was the worst one so far. The program should ask me first if I want it to check for my employer info. Not check then ask, because I like to update then shut off my internet connection, but on this version the program would crash without the ability to check for employer,(even though I did not let it pull down the info). And 2nd, it kept a long list, so I had to keep scrolling down the page in each section, come on break it up, if Iam done with a sub section I do not need to scroll past it 7 to 8 times. Very Very disappointed with Turbo Tax this year!
What's great about it: familiar
What's not so great: crashed if not connected to internet
