Filed 3 family returns electronically and 3rd family member return was rejected by State 3 times. Turbo tax indicated no errors and rechecks several times for errors found none. Federal was accepted on first electronic filing. Finally gave up on filing State return electronically after 3rd rejection with no assignable cause indicated by Turbo Tax and filed hard copy by mail. Compared State return to other 2 family members and found no difference. First two family members as usual every year were accepted on first filing. This family return was filed electronically last year for both Federal and State with no issues and is a simple no complications filing.
What's not so great: No reason shown for State rejected return filed electronically other than missing or incomplete data.

Easy Time With Return

Had on bad scare. I updated one time after competing 2012
returns both Fed and State. After the update and reboot all data was lost. Wanted me to begin 2012 return again.
Shut off computer and went to bed. Next day I opened 2012 Trubo and low and behold my data was back. What happened God will only know. Other than that I had a good experience
with 2012 . I woud love to know if you knew this happened ?

What's great about it: Complete in asking 2012 information
What's not so great: Did not ask about 2013 before printing esimated forms
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

TurboTax is the best organized, most helpful software I have ever purchased. It's worth its weight in gold, and I will always be a committed customer.

Needed Improvements

It is confusing on how to get to printing the state return. There should be a screen near the end that says Federal e-file or print State e-file or print to file.
Also when you print out a return, you should offer 2 sided printing that keeps 2 sided forms together.

So glad to be able to use a program for taxes. I did this manually for many years and it took so much time reading very dry and thickly worded documents. Ugh!

Quick & Easy

Quick & easy like last year, however last year after filing I got a letter from the Idaho State Tax Commission saying I owed more. So instead of getting back the $3,259 you said , I got back $1,235. Never did figure it out.
