Mixed Feelings

Waited 2 hours to get connected then spent another 1.5 hours asking what I thought was a simple yes or no question related to what TurboTax Deluxe could or couldn't do. Responses kept coming back not related to the question asked. Finally got a "no" for an answer after 3.5 hours. Its a shame the folks on chat don't know the capabilities of the software any better than that.
What's great about it: Makes reporting Schedule E filing easy
What's not so great: Frustrated with on-line chat experience
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Great Help

Over-all, Turbo-Tax did a great job in helping me file my tax returns; but there should be No Additional charge to file a state return! This should be included with the package.
What's great about it: Very knowledgeable
What's not so great: Too many fees!

So Easy!!!

I've filed taxes with TurboTax for the past three years and am delighted (for the most part) with the ease and accuracy of the program. Wouldn't file any other way!!
What's great about it: The guidance and all the chances to change things when necessary.
What's not so great: Had to exit the program to download the state return.

I've been using Turbo Tax for a number of years and anticipate a future full of great performance Quicken personal tax software from you.

Pretty easy this year

I really had no trouble at all with this year's Turbo Tax. I especially liked the instructions, pithy little comments. ALMOST a pleasure, if doing taxes, assembling lists, receipts, etc. can be deemed a pleasure.
What's great about it: excellent prompts, explanations
What's not so great: wouldn't work with the OS X on my desktop Mac. had to use laptop.

Dig deep, I have to pay

After years of having someone else doing my returns, I took the plunge and did them myself, Turbotax Deluxe was easy at first but when entering retirement information, was a little difficult. I contacted the online chat help center and the support was great, walked me right through and even did a screen share so they could check and see if I were doing things right. After getting out of debt, I lost my deductions, that's why I have to pay, and I am paying less than if I went to another tax service.
What's great about it: online help was very friendly , polite and professional
What's not so great: Confusing at first

Not As Happy As before

TurboTax remains my instrument of choice in preparing the annual federal income tax requirement.
What's great about it: the overall TurboTax process remains, in my opinion, the simplest way to complete this task
What's not so great: for reasons I can't explain, some of the step-by-step instructions cause me problems that I have not experienced before.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
