EVERYTHING WAS GOOD UP TO THE END...EFILE SHOULD BE FREE WHEN YOU SPEND THAT KIND OF MONEY ON SOFTWARE...VERY DISAPPOINTED ABOUT THIS!
What's great about it: EASY TO USE AND FOLLOW AS ALWAYS
What's not so great: PAY FOR EFILE OF STATE RETURN??
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Better than previous versions

The last few years, TurboTax seemed cumbersome, slow and confusing. I have used it for many years. This year's version was fast and far less confusing than last year's.
What's great about it: Seemed to run quicker and go better than prior years

Streamline reviews

Great software to get through a ridiculously complex process.
Just a couple suggestions...
The iterative nature of the reviews is a bit concerning. It would tell me on one screen everything looks good and then a step or two later it would find an error. This created a scare when it caught my typo on the state review when submitting. I had entered too high a figure for CASDI from my W2 but it told me this only after it told me the Federal was done. I fixed the entry and presume the federal got fixed too but I still have not seen the printed copy of the filed return (printer jam).
Instructions about when print options will come up are better than in the past but still not really clear, again, since the whole review process seems so iterative.

Good process, some improvements would help

the boxes listing donations of goods, e.g. clothing, to second-hand outlets, like St. Vincent de Paul's, wasn't big enough (nor expandable) to view the lists provided; also had to scroll down repeatedly to get to the bottom of "income" and "deduction" pages - couldn't the page pop to the bottom? - that's where you want to be anyway, or put in a tab at the top of the page with the words "jump to bottom" inside it.
What's great about it: good step-by-step method, especially if you have all your documents together
What's not so great: repetitious on steps already covered, doesn't remember "no" answers

I had a short sale in 2012, and worried that I might have to have my taxes professionally done. Turbo Tax made it a breeze to get through my taxes
What's great about it: Easily walked me through my taxes
What's not so great: nothing; liked everything

Easy to follow instructions

Have used Turbo Tax in the past, and will again use it in the future - very easy to follow and very thorough. Excellent product.
What's great about it: covered all areas of necessity, very easy to follow
What's not so great: first time I tried, the State portion wouldn't load. After saving the return and going back in, it loaded fine.
