This is my 17th year of using Turbo Tax and am looking forward to year 18. Keep up the good work.
What's great about it: Once again easy to use
What's not so great: Would like to be able to e file more than 5 returns

Works okay, Interface could be a lot better. Good tracking of year to year things that need to be tracked. Hate constantly being asked if I want to buy this or that.
What's great about it: Everything in one spot
What's not so great: They constantly try to add more charges for options. Interface is wordy and lengthy and not very efficient

As long as you have all your paperwork organized, this is the way to go. I tried doing them myself, but had to keep referring to instructions, and still could not decipher exactly what it said and whether I qualified for certain credits. I like that Turbo Tax knows all updated IRS laws and calculates everything immediately. I will never use anything else. I love it!

It would be great if there was a ready explanation of why an deduction (Home Office in my case) went down or based on new laws what to expect.

The Easy Guide approach was ideal it asked all the right questions, and assured your response before moving on. This years tax was easier than last year

I've been using TurboTax for over 10 years. Its ability to guide me through the myriad tax forms and questions is truly welcome, and it's a great relief to be guided through what is and is not a legal tax deduction. In the handful of instances in which the built-in answers and links to IRS topics were insufficient to answer a question, I got a rapid and accurate response from experts who monitor the user forums.
I have one primary, persistent gripe about TurboTax, and that is its insistence on asking me questions about information on the previous year's return despite the fact that it supposedly imports all that information. Examples include whether I used the standard deduction, had any excess HSA contributions, used the standard mileage rate, and took the prior year child care credit.
That said, despite that one ongoing issue which has persisted for years, I have no plans to use any other product or service. I like TurboTax and plan to continue using it for the foreseeable future, and I do not hesitate from recommending it to my friends and family as an excellent, cost-effective method for dealing with the yearly tax drag.
What's great about it: Simplifies process of entering information; asks relevant questions for payments and deductions; lists audit flags.
What's not so great: Requests information used in previous year's tax returned (which was also filed using TurboTax)
