Review of Medical Expense Information

Turbo Tax should ask you the question of do medical expenses exceed a certain amount before we research all files to find the information. Also medical doctor visits should tell you how much you have to get to before it's deductable before we waste hours looking for the information.

Easy to use

I really like using Turbo Tax, and this is my third year in a row. It's easy to follow the step by step instructions and explanations. The only reason for not getting the full 5 stars this year is because I was unable to get my State program to download. I tried several times before reading a helpful answer provided to another person having the same trouble. I had to exit the program and go back again in order to get what I needed to start the State return.
What's great about it: Easy to understand step by step instructions
What's not so great: Could not get my state return to show up. Noticed by looking at questions that others had the same problem.

Turbo Tax caught several items that I had missed during the final review. This catch netted me a larger return! Thank you Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: Automatic Transfer of W2 and other information.

What's up with that?

What was up with the first thing to tackle was an error that needed Turbo Tax 2011 to fix!! This involved IL tax refund and the child credit. Thank God I use Turbo Tax every year so I had it but what a hassle. Since every thing was imported, shouldn't the software/program have been able to process this correction. Also do I need to file a amended 2011 return due to this correction? Otherwise It was a dream not a nightmare of a experience again, until next year!!!!
What's great about it: Love the guide you through stuff and all the extra info in detail windows!!
What's not so great: Had to have TT2011 to fix error first thing!!!! Uggggh!

Easy for beginners

This was an easy process until I got done with my federal taxes and tried to continue to do my state return. It would not let me start from that page. still have to figure out how to do state return.
What's great about it: asked questions easliy to know how get all the info for your tax return

Easier than ever.

I am retired with not much to deal with except death and taxes. At least since 1996, TurboTax has helped me to deal with the taxes.
What's great about it: Since 1996, TurboTax has walked me through the valley, but...
What's not so great: ... the valley can still be intimidating.

I had to amend my son's federal taxes and I thought turbo tax would walk me through it and provide the forms. It did not!

I have been using turbo tax for the last 6 years. Each year it is different. I was not crazy for this year's process. It was difficult sometimes to go back and find a certain piece of information for possible adjustments.
