So Simple

I love this software. It remembers your past tax returns to make things so easy. Plus it finds deductions that you would have never known you could have gotten. I Love tax season! How many people can say that?
What's great about it: Finds deductions and maximizes your refund!!

turbo tax- even for tax illiterate people

I come back toTurbp Tax year after year. Its easy to use and catches errors as you make them. double checks and compares to prvious years as you maneuver throghthe program

problems with Oregon state program

2 major problems I encountered with the Oregon return:
1. Cannot adjust 2011 OR tax paid per TurboTax's computation from the prior year. In 2011 TurboTax computed about $25,000 more than OR said we owed (state audited and gave us a refund). Therefore I had to start a completely new return, inputting all personal info again, nor could I get a year-over-year comparation of my financial data.
2. TurboTax does not bring over the second 50% of a Roth conversion done in 2010 correctly. It assumes that you have been an OR resident at least from 2010 forward. Need the ability to make an adjustment on OR line 18.

Awesome Experience

I have used Turbo tax for our personal taxes for a number of years not. It has been great. Every year it gets more user friendly and surely saves us a bundle of money because we own a small business.
What's great about it: It gets easier to use every year.

Turbo Tax is very easy to navigate. All you have to do is input your data. You get to see your refund amount as you go along. Its a complete tax filing system.

Mixing up the information messes up the income taxes. You should be able to file a new file return without having to erase the previous income tax.
What's not so great: I didn't like having to erase my information to file another different income tax. The program mixes up the information.
