I really appreciate the simplicity of the step by step process, and the opportunity to double check, learn more and edit entries.
It is also nice to know what my effective tax rate is and how this compares to others in the US.
Its Deductible is awesome!

The Montana state form was buggy this year--kept missing things and finding them on the error check. Had to go back through 3 times.
Very expensive if you have income from multiple states
Too expensive to file electronically for multiple family members
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: very expensive if you need multiple states

Turbo for Life!

In high school (1969-72) I helped other students fill out the tax forms for their part-time jobs. I've done my taxes ever since. As an adulit, it was challenging when I "itemized" with all the additional forms. Then I discovered turbo tax! Halleluiah! Easy to follow every step of the way! Thank you!!
What's great about it: Save time by transfering information from previous turbo tax year, easy to follow instructions

I have been using TurboTax for 17 years and would not use any other software. It is quick and reliable and extremely easy to use. I recommend it to all my friends. The only downside is that you have to pay for e-filing for your State returns. I think that this should be free as well.
What's great about it: Fast, easy, reliable

This is the third year I have used this product.

This is the third year of using Turbo Tax. Last year it took me only two hours to do my taxes with it. This year it took me twelve hours because of defects in the product. It makes me think they didn't field test the product, At one point I got caught up in a loop and after a couple of hours
I found information on the product that told me that other
people have found if they exit the product and then come back it might work, and it did. When I tried to print the
returns it wasn't obvious where the print button was, and
that wasted a good deal of my time trying to find it. Then there was the issue of the 1099 Misc which wouldn't let me
correct it. And then there was the issue of 700 dollars on form C somehow becoming 1400 without my input. I think
this was the pits. Intuit needs to do better or I am going elsewhere next year, and so will most people who went thru this distinctly not nice product.

Dons Refund

Federal did a very good job. State was just average.
What's great about it: Easy to follow directions
What's not so great: No step by step on state return just amount of refund and I missed deduction I am entitled to.
