So easy, even a tax attorney can use it!

I'm a tax attorney and I still use TurboTax for my personal taxes because it's so simple to use. It's definitely improved over the years but the explanations are not clear to lay people -which means I still help others with their TurboTax filings! It's streamlined and user friendly if you already have a general grip on taxes. That said, it's not so user friendly that my work will become obsolete.
What's great about it: Quick, simple, step-by-step.
What's not so great: Explanations are not written for a layperson

I've been using TurboTax for years. Every year I solve a new tax info entry puzzle: this year it was how to enter a mortagae refi.
I use an actual disc (rather than the on-line version) and when I tried to move from the Fed to CA return it just endlessly looped through a download and then back to download screen. Actual state return wouldn't open. I finally shut down the program, ejected the disc, and tried again and this time it moved appropriately from download into the state return. I also found I had to remove and reinsert disc to get back to my nearly completed return. Otherwise, it wanted to open and start a new return and no trace of my nearly completed one was evident. Don't recall having this problem in years past.

I feel confident that my return & the information contained in Turbo Tax is accurate. As an Accountant, I need to feel that the tools I use are of the highest quality available. That is why I choose Turbo Tax each year. Thank yoiu for your efforts.

I think this is a wonderful tax filing system. It is very easy to use and quite reasonable in cost.
What's great about it: I loved the thoroughness and ease of it
What's not so great: Nothing comes to mind, it was all good

THE item i purchased was supposed to hav the state also. but I never get it to come to use. It kept wanting to sell me the state return

Also, always have problems with depreciation (house) as I have used an IRS chart before I started using TuboTax several years ago. TurboTax takes over and doesn't like me inserting my own numbers - I don't want to change methods mid-stream - so it's always a hassle.
Fix those two things, and you go to 5 stars.
*** Now, in trying to send my review, it tells me someone has my nickname -- so what do I do, make another nickname -- this is ridiculous -- if it doesn't work this time, you lose my review
What's great about it: Mostly well organized and works fine
What's not so great: Printing - hate being forced to use PDF, and don't always know what I'm getting (saving) because of poorly defined title

Turbo Tax Review

I use Turbo Tax every year - it's very easy to follow and explains situations in plain English. My only complaint is that the imported "Its Deductible" amounts were different. I don't understand why they can't be "in sync" with each other.
What's great about it: Very easy to follow
What's not so great: Its Deductible does not import with the same dollar values
