I have been using Turbo Tax since the 80s. It brings forward my prior year data and allows me to quickly enter the tax information for the present year. I can explore the return on my own and even go directly to the forms. Plus the worksheets and supplemental documents are extremely helpful.

TurboTax is wonderful. I've used it for several (consecutive) years, with no problems. I love how quickly and easily I can fill in the forms. Less than a day and I'm on my way!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Oil and Gas Royalties a pain to enter and follow.You enter them under 1099-Misc and then have to assign them to a Schedule E, F, or C. Used to be just a section where you just entered the 1099 and that was it. Also, very hard to correct some accidental errors. Somehow got Like Kind Exchange triggered when I entered data. Had a vehicle I used occasionally in a business. Always took standard deduction for mileage - never itemized. Would not let me drop the vehicle without Like Kind Exchange. What a mess!! Finally just 0 all mandated boxes on the form and let it go.
What's great about it: Easy to follow, easy to use basically.
What's not so great: Very conflicting instructions what to do with 1099 Misc

Terrible after all these years

Very dissapointed that by mid-March Turbo Tax was not compatible with Minnesota DOR for e-filing. Inexcusable!

Turbotax looks for maximum deductions and credits, the program is very thorough and accurate. Most of all, the customer service support is impeccable. They held my hand through the entire download process and throughout the state filing process. I love the online price value list for looking up value of items donated to charity. With this feature I was able to get maximum refund from both state and federal.
What's great about it: Very simple and intuitive to use
What's not so great: I can't think of any right now

The Intuit folks have taken what was already a very good product and made it even more streamlined and easier to both understand and navigate. Kudos to Intuit for an even better version of TurboTax.

I have been using Turbotax for several years. No problems. No Audits. Always get excellent refunds. All Good.
What's great about it: Good interface, format for previous years comparisions makes the tax preparation easy.
