What's great about it: easy program to use
What's not so great: Government doesn't allow more deductions. :)

I'm a CPA and CFO, but I'm not a tax expert. In the past, I've sent my taxes out only to find that my tax preparer made some mistakes. In the end, I decided it was best to do my taxes myself. Turbo Tax let's me do just that. Their questions and suggestions are helpful.
What's great about it: It's an easy and efficient process. It's inexpensive. It eliminates math errors.
What's not so great: I didn't see any.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

What's great about it: Steps you through the process and easy to use
What's not so great: I did not want to take a deduction and I had to figure how to eliminate it.

It seems funny to reflect on the paper, pencil and calculator method of doing taxes not that long ago. TurboTax software improves every year. Submiting taxes electronically is pretty neat partnership with the IRS.
What's great about it: Ability to bring information and questions from previous returns

Some bugs

Took a long time to install without indication of what was happening. Installation took almost 2 hrs. with no indication that the program was doing anything. It looked like the program was locked up. A bug in uploading the State return. Program hanged after checking for updates. I had to exit the program then restart TurboTax to get to the state portion.
What's great about it: E-file and importing of information
What's not so great: Some bugs in program

The only thing I would have liked is the 2013 Estimated payments for California return. Didn't have CA taxes due so I gues Iit was assumed I didn't need it.
What's great about it: Easy Guide and 'explain this'
What's not so great: Seemed to ask too many Qs for upgrading and extras

This year I did my return in 4 hours. Once I learned how TT likes to organize things, especially deductions, I was able to gather each into neat piles and enter them one after the other. it was quick and easy and i even imported my It's Deductible file to save a lot of time.
