Best Software EVER!

Overall, Turbo Tax is a great product. The only times I got hung up were when I was dealing with an issue I never had before (an inheritance issue). But because Turbo Tax always includes the form numbers along with the plain-language questions, I was still able to figure it all out.
Great Job Intuit!!
What's great about it: I really like the interview-style wizard to help me file.
What's not so great: It would be nice if there were an easier way to handle inheritance issues.

Good but Needs Flexibility

A good program to make sure all possible deductions and sources of income are accounted for. Not flexible in allowing the modification of income sources from previous years.
What's great about it: Guiding questions, values of donated items.
What's not so great: Could not remove corporation that not longer exists.

first time user. generally easy to following step-by-step procedures. hard to go back when something is missed. no place where one can go to find answers using a SEARCH and KEYWORD. as an example i could not find where to enter the fact that i wanted to apply my refund to my 2013 estimated. I did finally but it was not an easy task. unable to find where i could contact a "live person"
What's great about it: good step-by-step flow
What's not so great: hard to find answers to my questions

Anyone who complains about the complexity of the US individual tax code as it applies to most filers has never used TurboTax. This software is extremely user friendly and provides all the feedback data one should expect.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Failure to continue from last session may be the result of updates to the program that occurred at each startup, but that should be unnecessary except when updates impact data already entered, which should be "not common". The user would be better served if the nature of the updates were briefly described, then let the user decide whether to review previous entries or continue from the last session.
What's great about it: Seems to be comprehensive
What's not so great: Each time TTAX restarted it started the interview over instead of continuing from where the last session ended.

I observe this year that there is less information available for questions while using the hard disc. I do not want to use the on-line version to transmit sensitive private info but it seems as if you want to direct consumers to the online format.
Searching for information was not as easy; no direct IRS web sites using the disc; the on-line search required yet another password, etc. and the on-line community is a wast of time.
What's great about it: great tool
What's not so great: on-line capability has reduced the search mode for using the disc

Insured all income and deductions were accounted for, ease of use through ordinary processes but inflexible in adjusting for changes in past income sources such as removing an old S Corporation
What's great about it: Guide through income & deductions, value of donated property
What's not so great: Couldn't remove old S Corporation from profile
