Long-Time User, Big-Time Fan

I've used TurboTax since it came out and I can't say enough good things about it. Not only is it easy to use, accurate and complete, it allows me to model different options for the coming year to fine-tune our quarterly payments, the consequences of IRA withdrawals and other family financial decisions. A great tool!
What's great about it: The interview is great; so is the ability to go right to the categories and forms.
What's not so great: None

Continues to be remarkably time efficient

This is truly a great product and has just continued to get better and better through the 10 years or so in which I've been using it. I generally don't like tech stuff but this product is far and away the best example of something which has improved the QOL of customers. It's awesome, and I mean that in the traditional Webster's version of the word awesome. Thanks for providing a great product at a reasonable cost.
What's great about it: Ease, user friendly, time efficient
What's not so great: had trouble updating forms but FAQs easily answered this.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I must say I was somewhat reluctant to use Turbo Tax as I have used tax stores for years. Some friends talked me into it and I thought OK if I don't like it or screw it up I can always go back to the tax store. Was I ever surprised, the step by step instruction is so thorough that unless you input the data wrong, it's practically impossible to mess up. I was especially worried about Schedule D but Turbo Tax sorted it out and plugged in all the numbers for me. I also liked the option of importing my financial documents. Great program!!
What's great about it: Very user friendly
What's not so great: Just getting used to it as a first time user

Very easy to use. Just follow the interview questions and fill in the information when asked.
What's great about it: Very easy to load, update, and use to prepare tax returns.

Surprise! you owe us more money!

Do we really have to go through the entire process only to be hit with additional charges? If I had known about the state charge upfront it wouldn't have changed my mind but being surprised really makes me angry.
It makes Turbo Tax look bad

I have been using Turbo Tax for over 10 years. This year I found the print/save section confusing since it appears you are trying to force individuals to efile and consequently try to cram to much into this section. Make it simple, either have an efile track or "mail in' track with the appropriate drop down menus.

loved it! better that my previous software and quicker than trying to get in touch with my 'previous' my tax person.
What's great about it: quick and easy
What's not so great: none to speak of - other than waiting to try this
