Not like it use to be

Turbo Tax locked up on my Mac when I printed my returns.
Turbo Tax seemed less user friendly than in the past
What's not so great: Unable to print the work sheets as I have in the past
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Small glitch

The program was very easy to use and it found that I qualified for more credits based on my student status and income. But getting the same information into the state return required more steps. It should have transferred over without having to open the forms and manually enter the education expenses.
What's great about it: Very easy to use, easy to get best refund
What's not so great: Transferring the education info to the state return

I use Turbo Tax because it works. I have confidence in the format, in the process, and the results. This year I ran into a problem with my State return. I logged into help via chat, waited a short time, and we fixed the issue. I can do my taxes at 10:00 PM when the house is quiet, work on a few items, save it, and come back anytime to continue. I E-Filed 2/28, both federal and state refunds were direct deposited on 3/8. Very satisfied.
What's great about it: East to follow format, updating refund status, confidence
What's not so great: Constant updates

Year to year comparison is a great help in reminding the user with a consistent return what to review and update when self navigating.
What's great about it: Year to year comparisons
What's not so great: Inability to print data on the screen without copying screen to MS WORD.

Gets better every year

After many years of using turbotax and with the tax code becoming more complicated its a relief to file my taxes, knowing that its correct and checked throughout the process.
What's great about it: Even with all of the changes you were right on top of it

TurboTax works for me

I maintain my finances in Quicken and every year I end up manually entering basic data into TurboTax. The previous years data is auto-entered easily.
While I am waiting for tax information to show up in the mail I like to enter areas that I do have information. TurboTax is difficult to go back to areas without getting the long question and answer sections, usually returing to the beginning of any given section. Even going to the forms entry is not user friendly. There can be a lot of wasted time going through the same question and answer sections more than once.

What's great about it: Accurate based on entered data
What's not so great: Hard to import Quicken data, hard to revisit areas
