terriffic turbo tax

I've used TTAX for at least the last 15 years, probably more, and the product keeps getting better and better. For dozens of years before TTAX I did my returns manually and I was always making math errors or entering things on the wrong line or I needed a form or instructions and more often than not the post office didn't have the document I needed. Since using TTAX all these issues are gond plus it finds deductions and asks question I'd never think to ask. Several years ago I used TTAX to redo my father-in-laws taxes which had been done by a nationally known professional tax preparation firm. TTAX actually generated a return which gave him back a few more dollars! TTAX to me is the greatest!
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: Continuing return starts at the beginning with pers. Info.

Can't do my taxes without it

Every year the program records my contributions to the Maryland College Fund and tells me that I have never contributed to that fund before. It would be good if Turbo Tax did track my contributions since I give in excess of the limit and the time when soon come when I will be able to claim prior year contributions not already claimed up to the annual limit.
What's great about it: Walks you through the process, does math correctly
What's not so great: Does not track past payments to MD College Fund

A Snap to Use--Even After Brain Surgeries!

I've had multiple brain surgeries the last few years and one of the side effects is that instead of solving anything involving numbers, they just kind of float around in my head. Turbo Tax has taken filing time from a stress-filled mess to an easy breeze!

Last Time Using TurboTax

My last time using TTax. Next year, I'll be using a local service; Tax laws are getting too complicated, and I'm tired of doing all this myself.

Overall, this is reasonably good software. They have a serious problem, though, in that they state you are ready to file, just click, then all of a sudden "we need information we didn't ask for before". This was infuriating. Will I use it next year? Probably. Beats playing with paper.

Tax 2012 turbo

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years, I don't remember the first year but it was IBM pc 8088 and dot matrix printers. Never had a problem, some years I had it checked by professional preparers (lots of money) they did no better.
What's great about it: Great program does it all, Fast
What's not so great: none to mention
