TurboTax - I can't say enough good things about it

I enter my data, click on More Info if I have to, and taxes are done! I can't say enough good things about TurboTax or I would be up for 2 days straight.
What's great about it: It might have taken longer to download than the tax process did!

Convenient, but not as good as 2011

I have been an avid user of TurboTax Deluxe CD for over 12 years. In the past I experienced no issues with your product. Sorry to say, this was not the case with your 2012 Turbotax Deluxe CD. When installing, a pop-up message appeared advising me that MS Framework 4 was missing on my PC, and conveniently offered to install it, and then the program closed. When reinstalling the CD an 'OOps!!' message appeared advising me of a Framework 4 problem and offered to fix it, but failed again. After attempting numerous repairs over 2-3 hours, I finally uninstalled/reinstalled Framework 4 via the MS website, and the CD loaded successfully.
For the most part the 2012 version was easy to use, but was not as user friendly as in the past especially when preparing forms for multiple States. In my case I earned income in both NY and NJ, and resided in NJ. After the download of both NY and NJ forms, Turbotax did not, as in the past, offer guidance as to which State form to complete first. Fortunately I remembered the correct sequence. Instructions regarding inclusion of NY 403b amounts as NJ wages was misleading. Turbotax did this automatically, but at the same time instructed me to enter 403b amounts from other States onto the NJ W2 form, which would have resulted in a double entry. The software occasionally froze and closed during printing of documents, but I fortunately was able to recover data. Transferring forms for electronic submission took unusually long. Hope these problems may be repaired in future versions. I continue to have confidence in Turbotax, but have been a bit jarred by my recent experience.
What's great about it: Convenient, easy guidance
What's not so great: Instructions not always clear, had problem loading CD.

Have used ttax for many years. Love it for it''s ease of use and verification/checking that it does of your tax return.
What's great about it: Guided tours, verification
What's not so great: Cutesy notices that the software is loading

Great except

The deduction for charity area could be made more useable.
I deduct the actual cost of fuel used for charitable mileage. TurboTax only uses the cents per mile when calculating the deduction amount and I have to enter the difference between that and the actual cost of my fuel. How about giving an option in the program in this area.
