2012 TurboTax So Much Easier

This years TurboTax was so much smoother with the step by step instructions. Had no problems to complete both Federal and State.

How wonderful Turbo Tax is.

Turbo Tax is designed to get the tax payer all the deductions that are of great importance and to help report all of the income that needs to be reported.
What's great about it: Guides you through almost every tax situation to help get the most complete return.
What's not so great: Just alittle hard to jump around in the tax return

turbo tax rocks!

This is my 3rd year using Turbo tax. it's very easy to use, walks you through every deduction you can think of and makes recommendations to help guide you as you go! Took me 2 hours to do both Fed & State, efile and go..... beats paying a "tax guy" I love the way it shows the dollar amount of your refund or what you owe as you move through the different sections and the audit risk at the end!!!

Minimum pain tax return

Year-after-year I dread the tax preparation exercise. The only consolation I have before I start the painful process that I can be almost certain I'll finish it, and with maximum savings.
What's great about it: Well guided through the maze of filing tax return for non-tax savvy mortals.
What's not so great: Some ambiguous wordings, for instance in the case of double counting state incomes, could be removed.

Ease of use

If you have all your receipts and required documents (such as W-2s) you can be done with your taxes, successfully in a remarkably short period of time. My average is about 20 minutes for a long form (the first time is longer, but each year thereafter you will no longer have to enter all the tedious data.) Turbo Tax walks you through each step with a simple question, answer, and fill in the blanks procedure. After trying other methods to include a national brick and mortar chain ( who cost me lots of money through sloppy procedures) I swear by and recommend TurboTax.
What's great about it: Don't have to search out required forms or download the forms; format is easy and quick to use.
What's not so great: None

Not so cool for military...

As I was getting ready to transmit my return to the IRS, TurboTax kept asking me for information as to dates pertaining to my military start and end date?!? Now, I'm a National Guardsman and I obviously deducted some of my mileage and costs for drilling. I had also been deployed out of the country in years past, but not during this tax year. The program would not let me transmit my return until I gave it some dates in these two fields! I gave it the dates of my last deployment and redeployment dates...11/8/08 and 3/25/10, but it wouldn't take the redeployment date as it was not in the tax year. I changed the 3/25/10 to 1/2/12, thinking that it would let me go to the other field to change it to 1/1/12, but it suddenly transmitted the return... Great! Now, I'll probably be audited. Whatever... Besides this glitch, TurboTax is, as always, great.

Quick, easy, and great customer service!

Turbo Tax is one of the easiest programs to use to figure out my taxes. I even used it when I started my own business a few years ago and it was MUCH better than trying to do it on paper (which I attempted first). A professional I took it to for a second look didn't find any more money for me than Turbo Tax already had.
I like how the questions are easy to follow and if I'm ever unsure about something, there is a pop-up window available educating me on the topic. I also like how it automatically checks for more possible refunds like education expenses. My husband is a student and it's great to know that he qualifies for some refunds.
I have only contacted the tax professionals twice in two years and both times they have been easy to get a hold of, friendly, and resolved my issue within a few minutes. I have called them and used the chat service and both are great!
I would recommend Turbo Tax to anyone and many of my family and work associates use it. Thank you for providing such a wonderful service that makes it easy for me to understand and quick to complete everything.
