What's great about it: Recovery of prior turbotax information
What's not so great: 2011 tax return was not successfully filed for Fed or state tax but Turbo Tax kept my state tax filing fee anyway.

I had an extreme amount of trouble printing individual sheets this time, especially second and third sheets. I finally found out how to print the first sheet - front side only. I did not want a pdf or prn file saved. Later on I had to download another copy of Adobe Acrobat to print all the sheets I needed before I actually filed the return. You would not want to see the language I used in my desperation to print the document. It looks like I may have to use another software program. I don't want to because I have used yours for a lot of years now.

What's not so great: Thought it might find more deductions but now I know for sure standard deduct was the best for us

Easy!

When it came time to file, we chose to pay with a credit card to get the miles. But every time we input the credit card info, TurboTax would quit. We tried several different credit cards, with the same result every time. Frustrated, and with limited time for filing, we finally chose to have the funds withdrawn from our bank account, and that worked. Still don't know why it wouldn't work....something with our MAC? the software? We have used TurboTax for years, and have never had this problem.
What's great about it: Walks you right through.
What's not so great: Wouldn't let us pay with credit card!

TurboTax The Greatest!

We have used TurboTax for many years, and now our bank is offering it to their customers. I feel confident in TurboTax, and would not change a thing. Taxes are difficult for everyone and TurboTax makes it so much easlier. Thank you TurboTax, you are the Greatest!
What's great about it: Each year a little easier, and the nickname was a plus.
What's not so great: Nothing

Disability Income

We encountered a problem with the TurboTax software for a second year in a row. On our return we have Disability Income paid by a third party source. This is not taxable in the state of Pennsylvania. When the program gets to this income on our state return review, we hit a loop that keeps telling us to report it as income. One of the chat advisors, Elizabeth who was very helpful, was able to get to the root of the problem. TurboTax prefills the state box (15) on the federal return. When we deleted the PA from this box the problem was solved, but it took a long time to get there.
