mostly easy to use seems complete would like to be able to look at irs form as it is filled out not just at the end

TurboTax Is Best

I have been preparing and filing my own tax return since I was a teenager, and I'm now 70 years old. I have been using TurboTax for more than 15 years and appreciate the improvements from one year to the next. I especially like viewing and printing my tax return copies in PDF format. As a senior citizen living on a fixed income, I would like TurboTax to arrange with each state free electronic filing of the state returns for seniors.
What's great about it: Easy to understand instructions. Free federal electronic filing.
What's not so great: No free state electronic filing.

avoid headaches

Overall very easy to use. Saves a lot of money in not needing professional tax preparation. Only con is for those that have not done their returns before simpler and more detailed instructions on more complex tax issues would be helpful.
What's great about it: ease of use
What's not so great: need to explain complex tax issues more plainly
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Did a great job. Was easy to use and didn't require any tox knowledge at all. It was step by step. All you had to do was to answer the questions. I will use again...and again...and again!

Almost perfect- except

Your program treated my PBGC income as though it was from a retirement fund, requiring a Required Minimum Distribution, which it does not. There is no fund associated with these monthly payments and no RMD. Your program only gave the option of rolling the payment amount into an IRA or stating the RMD amount, neither of which applied. With so many people on PBGC payments, I'm surprised and disappointed that your program editors did not pick up on this.
I called the PBGC and they said they got many calls from Turbo Tax users about this fault.

Have been using this for years and like. Takes time for me to find the refund amount I want applied to the next year.
Print review is very helpful.

Overall, very pleased. Have used TurboTax for many years and have always been satisified.

Overall a good product, but after lots of years, I still get "hung up" along the way. However, the new print procedure seems like a giant step backwards. Took me nearly an hour to figure it out! And if there is a way to print one form, I haven't found it. Also, one selects the "only the forms to be filed" box and still get backup data. I have always found printing to be a chore as form selection seems impossible. I know you are encouraging e file, but not for me. John
