I had to get out of TurboTax and get back in to make the State filing work. The federal filing worked like a charm.
What's great about it: Easy to follow instructions
What's not so great: The State return wasn't without problems

New to taxes

It was easy to follow the step-by step. However I did have to call family and friends to ask some questions. It would be nice if they told you why the number at the top (the tax return) was changing, mine suddenly dropped to 1/3 it's value after answering a question I would not think would have an effect. It was suggested that I look over the forms as well as the questions, I liked having that option. Overall I would use Turbo Tax again. And I'm sure it will be a lot easier now that I have completed taxes... I've heard it's always confusing the first time, independent of how you file.
What's great about it: easy to follow
What's not so great: long
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Made easy for Same Gender married New York Couples

Extremely user friendly. We appreciated the step by step guidance for same-gender couples not able to file federally as married but able to do so within New York and other states where same-gender marriage is legal. I also appreciate that Turbo Tax recommended I download the software to save money because of the amount of returns we needed to file (2 federal separate, 1 joint).
What's great about it: Step by step guide to being recognized as married by state but not federally

I find this Turbo Tax is user friendly, explains in simple words the meaning of each deduction or credit, if in doubt always online help. I enjoy that I don't have to wait in line, make appointments of be frustrated during tax season. Makes my life easier and removes the stress from worries about tax submission. If I have time at 3am then I will do it at that time. I can start and restart at any time with all my work saved.
What's great about it: Easy to follow, Explains doubts, NO lines , rapid refund
What's not so great: paying extra for multiple states, should have free states
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easiest Tax Work Ever!!

I've been using TurboTax for over 15 years. This by far was the easiest and quickest tax return I've ever completed. Not only did TurboTax guide me through the sections with ease, it also teaches you at the same time.
What's great about it: Easy navigation. Very short completion time!
