Complaint about commercial pushes

Even after recognizing that I had no Florida tax liability, the program continued to push me to download (and pay for) a state package. This gets worse with each year's edition until now it is becoming a deal breaker.
You pushed audit protection at me twice even though my audit risk is minimal. Taking this service would double the cost of my return while providing virtualy no benefit. Thanks a lot for your concern.
After passing all the error checks and during the efile process, the thing suddenly decided it couldn't efile with an amount in the dependent child care box of a W2. There was no amount reported, and I didn't put an amount in the W2. But the program added a 0.00 amount anyway, thereby causing an unexpected glitch in the efile process.
What's great about it: Comprehensive and relatively easy to use
What's not so great: Inappropriate pushing of non-applicable state return and audit protection, glitch in error checking

Paper carriers

There are hundreds of thousand paper carriers (paper boys and girls) in the US and there are special provisions in the IRS tax code for young paper carriers. Paper carriers typically get a 1099- MISC but Turbo Tax does not ask if the receiver of a 1099- MISC is a paper carrier and then use the special provisions in the IRS tax code for young paper carriers.
What's not so great: No provision for paper carriers

Trouble with Windows 8

What's great about it: Used Turbo Tax for several years and will continue to do so. Very easy to include information from previous tax return.
What's not so great: Could not install on brand new computer with Windows 8.

Great product as usual!

Everything went smoothly; still inputting estimated taxes for state and local was missed on first pass. Would have helped to have a trigger to prompt me to enter that data. No problem navigating to where I needed to input it though.
What's great about it: Easy to use, love it.

Easy As Ever Refund!

Turbo tax has been the way that I have filed my returns for the last several years. I keep using it since it is so easy and guides you every step of the way. Will continue to use it as long as it is available.
What's great about it: Loved the ease of use and how turbo tax guides you through everything!
What's not so great: Nothing that I don't love about it!

IRA or Annuity

It appeared Turbotax was changing my annuity to an IRA. It did print out correctly, but I wasted a great deal of time trying to show an anunity instead of an IRA I do not itemize my deductions on my Federal return because I know the standard deduction is better. However, I do itemize on the State return and Turbotax will not allow it. Also I cannot claim taxable amount instead of gross amount because of McFadden..
