I find Turbo Tax easy to use and will continue using it. It frustrates me that we need to pay to file our State return.

software improvement needed

It would be helpful if the program told me that my capital gains were excluded from my Federal taxable income. I spent three hou8rs on the phone and talked to 4 different people before anyone was able to point this out.
What's great about it: comprehensive, easy to use
What's not so great: need better in program feedback on exclusions from income

Entering info for business (sch C) was a bit clumsy - especially if you had business vehicle mileage.

Help was great

I needed help and called the hotline and got Frank. He was very polite, professional and prompt. It was a very good experience and it "sealed the deal" - I'm now a turbotax user for years to come
What's great about it: quick response
What's not so great: nothing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

On a scale of 1 to 10, I rate TTax 2012 as a 8. I need help with K-1 forms, and for years have suggested that Intuit provide more help, but to no avail.
What's great about it: Does the heavy lifting
What's not so great: fails in area of K-1 forms

Had difficulty loading my program form updates. Telephoned and Sonia took ownership of my problem and successfully - very considerately and friendly - solved my problem.

I love the 2011 transfer of info for 2012

Regarding returns for federal and Maryland, 2011, both jurisdictions notified me at different times in 2012 that i had not filed a return, altho my check for MD had been cashed and my refund for feds was received. Was wondering if Turbo tax had isues in 2011 with transmission. obviously I did.
What's great about it: includes unknown details needed to complete return
What's not so great: federal e-file failed twice before going through three days later
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
