Feel Smarter and Richer!

Turbo tax is so awesomely simple and easy to use. I don't know why anybody would pay more to get their taxes done. It is very easy to follow and you only need to have your w-2's and any 1099's that you may have recieved and it tells you exactly where to look and what to enter. It's like having a little account on your shoulder telling you what to do!
What's great about it: Easy to follow, step-by-step guide.
What's not so great: I have to do it every year!

GOOD WITH A FEW PROBLEMS

THE PROGRAM MAKES IT ALMOST TOO EASY TO E-FILE THE STATE RETURN, AND UNNECESSARILY DIFFICULT TO ACCESS THE PAGES FOR MAILING IT.

Generally Painless

Federal is better than State. The Utah State part required me to fill out supporting documentation for a deduction (retirement credit) that I looked at and decided the amount I could deduct was zero.
On the left I said I have no kids, because my kids are grown and do not figure into my taxes.
What's great about it: You can mix being walked through with jumping back and forth on your own.
What's not so great: Sometimes keeps you in the dark; Why does the K-1 form result in zero income?

Turbo Tax makes filing taxes very simple. It helps maximize my return. I would not use any other tax software.

SIMPLE!

Program is easy to use. Simply follow the program. Nothing to "figure out". You can see as you go how much or how little your refund will be or how much you owe! I've used Turbo Tax for the last 10 years.
What's great about it: Follow the screens! Done!
What's not so great: Overrides are a little difficult.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
