I had no previous experience filing taxes, but this program is very user's friendly and guide you through the entire process. I definitely recommend this program.

been using turbo tax for years, but never clear on which version i need. one year i bought several versions before finding i needed a lesser business version. giving a list of forms included in each version would help.
What's great about it: easy navigation
What's not so great: waiting for deals on software (bj's coupons make it cheaper than buying online or direct from turbo tax)
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Simple, simple!

Made it very easy to do federal and state tax forms since the federal and state forms are so complex, mind-numbing, and maze-like. Thanks, Turbo-tax!

also had several retirement distributions but a summary of the individual list of amounts that make up the total that is shown on the 1040 would be nice; also see cons
What's not so great: carry over charitable worksheet does not work for 30% capital gain property; had to override several amounts

Product has many problems on windows 8. I have used this product for more tan 10 years and tis is the first time I have had problems with it finally got a none windows 8 computer out and had no problems.In Windows 8 you must have Adobe just to print any of your forms. You must manually install all updates

What's not so great: Many problems runing on Windows 8

Good for beginners, Fustrating for experienced

After 12+ years of TurboTax, I found this year’s version very frustrating. Between cute saying, ugly graphics, and continuously forced through repetitive screens, I'm not sure TurboTax is any longer for me.
If you're a new user to tax programs, it's probably perfect. It seems like it was designed for someone not very familiar computer programs or taxes. It may be right for some folk, but I found it frustrating and time consuming to use.
I also didn't like that I wasn't warned that my tax forms would be delayed by the IRS. This would have been one benefit TurboTax could have provided, but failed to.
What's great about it: Good for people who haven't done taxes in the past
What's not so great: Forced through to many "cute" thing, Not for power or experienced users
