I am old enough to remember filling out tax forms by hand,
and sending them off by snail mail. You would then wait for weeks to get your check in the mail. Turbo tax lets me do my taxes in one stress free afternoon, double and triple checks my accuracy, provides me Audit Protection; and EFILES my taxes, all for one low price! I have used Tax prepartion boutiques in the past, and they cost me 4x what TurboTax does!! Great product!!!

Great Product, but kind of Ticked!

I wouldn't trust or use any other tax preparation software than Turbo Tax. I know that I am getting my maximum refund using TT.
Although, the last two years I've unfortunately been unable to E-file because certain forms that each of these years' returns generated caused my return to paper filed. Therefore, the value of TT was lessened somewhat for me because of having to file by paper #slower return#.
What's great about it: I like TurboTax (TT), as I've used it for several years now. TT is laid out in a logical order and is very thorough
What's not so great: The last two years I've been unable to E-file because certain forms I needed wouldn't allow for e-Filing

Why Can't I e-file for free in CA

It gets better every year, but I am not going to pay $19.99 to e-file a CA state return.
What's great about it: Free Fed e-filing is very straight forward
What's not so great: I am still trying to figure out how to complete and file my CA return by mail

turbo tax provided me with an economically inexpensive way to file my taxes and a reliable system to make sure everything was accurate. highly recommend this to everyone.
