I've been using Turbo Tax for what seems like forever, I came off of Personal Tax Edge when I was using it in the 90's! I've see TT transition from a video like interview to a fill in the blank software.
Personnally, I miss the tabs up top to be able to go back to a section, review it and then go back to where you were.
This year I was very dissapointed that the year to year review wasn't there. For some reason I went from a 4 digit return last year to a 3 digit paymnet due on Fed and I couldn't find anything to tell me WHY! I think Y/Y would give me a clue, I can ony guess the tax rate is to blame. But TT has taken that tool away.
I also don't know that the tax info help is there either. TT found it too expensive to include common language instruction? No since half the time you can't understand IRS-eze we'll just include the forms and not get involved, is that it? Color me "Dissapointed".
What's great about it: Seems to round up and cover all the " usual suspects"
What's not so great: Didn't import my last year's return

Every step is well structured and easy to follow and anwser but when it comes to a person without SSN "does not compute"

I highly recommend Turbo Tax. I have been using the program for years and will continue in the coming years. Keep up the good work Intuit!
What's great about it: clearly written questions
What's not so great: need to auto save and give auto save notification as you are working on your return

Pending only took 28 days to be accepted

I had a significant refund and had to wait a full month to have the return accepted, thus delaying my refund. There were no significant changes between this year and the past several years so it should have been much easier than it was .
I am considering using alternative software in the future
What's great about it: I have used TurboTax for many years
What's not so great: Need to be prompter on getting returns accepted

Many Successful Years

I am retired, on a pension, have investments, itemize many deductiions and find I can do it all with TurboTax. It has gotten easier over the many years I have used TurboTax. I recommend it highly. My mother was an accountant and did income taxes for over 50 years as a professional. When Mom ded, it was even easier with TurboTax.
What's great about it: Reliability, accuracy, even with a relaatively complex return each year.
What's not so great: i do not complete my return at one sitting and sometimes I do not like repetitious forms to go through.

I am most impressed about how the electronic filing side has improved over the years. It used to be way too complicated
