TurboTax software is helpful in comparing prior year return entries to the current year to see if you missed anything. Not having to transfer all the data from prior years helps to make filling out this years return easier.
Review showing possible errors and audit triggers helps to make sure we don't make any obvious mistakes.

What's great about it: Step by Step Review and Guidance
What's not so great: Extra hidden processing fee for having filing and audit fees taken from refund

Have used for years, know the math is correct and being able to directly import from different accounts is great

The forms not being released due to the "tax authority not releasing on time" glitch was a huge pain in my butt and wasted much of my valuable time. I use your product exactly because I do not want to waste my valuable time. I'm still trying to do taxes in March and I still get this message. I'm actually baffled as to how it eventually fixed itself.
You have a great product, but if I come across the same problem next year, you will lose me forever to a competitor.
What's great about it: continue to enjoy the ease of use. I will purchase again next year but id same problems exist I will go to H & R
What's not so great: forms 1040, 8863, 8889-T, schedule A -->not ready fiasco

Great with one exception

It took less than a hour to complete. I had multiple 1099-C and TT couldn't accommodate.
What's great about it: Fast, easy
What's not so great: Form 982
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

In short, I don't dread doing taxes. Could not do my taxes as easily, efficiently, or as accurately without Turbo Tax. Turbo Tax represents the upside of technology.

I was filling out the college tuition section for my dependent son who received a 1098-T. After I researched actual payments to college and all other required information, I was told he did not qualify for the credit because he was my dependent. Couldn't a check have been made for this prior to me filling out all this useless information?

What's not so great: Some determinations can be made prior to filling out a section you do not qualify for

mostly easy to follow steps other than the beginning of the state taxes which I tried 10 time before could continue
What's great about it: easy to understand step
What's not so great: had a software bug when it came time to do state taxes
